Objectives:

The Course describes the UMTS Long Term Evolution LTE and Evolved Packet System EPS network, interfaces and protocol architecture. It introduces into the central protocols of the E-UTRA, X2 and S1 interface, giving procedure examples. Finally the central signalling flows, such as Attach, Service Request and Handover are discussed.
