Objectives: |
The participant learns about the central enhancements of the UMS radio interface in UMTS Rel. 4 - 8 and the ongoing discussion about 4G (Advanced-IMT). Special emphasis is given to the new UMTS frequency ranges and UMTS boosters HSDPA, HSUPA, MIMO & HSPA+ pushing UMTS to 3.5G. Finally, the UMTS Long Term Evolution LTE, paving the path towards 4G, is introduced. |
