This course describes in detail the UMTS core network architecture based on Rel. 4 - 8 standards. The course provides an analysis of the new call control and mobility management protocols like SIP and BICC. The IP Multimedia Subsystem is introduced as well as some aspects of interworking of WLAN. Finally, an overview of Rel. 8 SAE is examined. |
